Our JRY series is the most advanced wastewater treatment system in the world. The modular design allows the system to be tailor made for any specific wastewater requirement.  The system is also easily expanded with additional modules to increase treatment capacity should that need arise. The system can be modified to suit any capacity from 20 People up to 1 million people without affecting the integrity of the system or the quality of the effluent.

The system employs Biological Nitrogen reduction with Submerged Membrane Technology. Nitrification and denitrification are achieved by recycling influent through the submerged filtration media in the aeration tanks.  The level of nitrate in the effluent can be controlled by adjusting the recycling rate and the amount of aeration.  The submerged membrane for Nitrogen removal is the most advanced media in the world.  It’s unique design along with the aeration process enables a higher level of Nitrogen removal due to the larger surface area the biological film is able to attach itself to.  The backwash function also allows for simple cleaning of the media so the plant can continue to perform to the highest standard.   Phosphorus is reduced by automatic dosing with ferric chloride.  This can be automated to achieve the required phosphorous levels.

The plants are designed to consistently achieve 20 mg/l BOD and 30 mg/l suspended solids prior to filtration.  Disinfection, in the plant above, is achieved with either ozone or UV or both.  The plant configuration can be altered to produce the required effluent nutrient concentration for any application from 100%

reuse to 100% discharge.  The major benefit of our plants is that the effluent is of such high quality, it can be reused in gardens, parks, streetscapes and back through residential properties for toilet flushing.

The plants are totally enclosed and inherently low odour producers.  We can direct emissions to a simple carbon filter and eliminate any remaining odour if necessary.  Our plants can be placed in close proximity to sensitive receptors without any odour problems.

Compared with contemporary sewerage plants our systems have a reduced footprint and are visually appealing.  The systems are generally installed below ground to provide a low profile and an unobtrusive presence.  The above ground presence consists of access points to tanks and a small control room.  In operation you would never know it was there.  Plants can also be installed above ground, in car park basements and in any configuration.

Our products are made of Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), which is durable, elastic, watertight and resistant to corrosion.

The plant is fully automated requiring at most 2 to 3 hours of operator involvement per week.  Because of the high level of automation, the running costs of our plants are significantly less than for comparable systems.  Most flow is by gravity once sewage enters the plant.  We do not use large pumps returning effluent to an anoxic zone at the head of the plant for instance.  The pH probes are cleaned and calibrated monthly.  Dissolved oxygen should be measured monthly and aeration adjusted if required.  Sand filters should be backwashed monthly.  The primary settling tanks need to be desludged occasionally.  Air blowers require routine maintenance by replacing belts and topping up the oil lubricant.  Submersible pumps require visual inspections monthly to ensure their operating efficiency.  All of our systems incorporate alarms in the event of equipment malfunction.

The system has low energy and maintenance requirements and is robust. Flows other than sludge and return sludge lines are by gravity. The total lifecycle costs of the system are minimal compared with other systems:

Our packaged wastewater treatment systems have many advantages compared with comparable treatment plants, such as:

  • The installation of an FRP wastewater treatment system is faster and simpler than a concrete plant as much of the plant is fabricated off-site.
  • The system requires less land area than comparable plants and is unobtrusive as smaller plants are typically installed below ground level.
  •  Operation and maintenance costs of our FRP treatment systems are lower than that of comparable plants.
  •  Efficient fluid flow under gravity eliminates need for large pumps.
  •  Cost savings on installation, energy and maintenance.
  •  An environmentally aesthetic plant due to the majority of structures being underground (terrain and soil components permitting).
